Mural, Wayfinding, Extensions | Design Consortium
The mural, Rise is a representation of strength, hope, and growth.
Through a lush landscape, we want the viewer to feel a powerful
burning to grow. Mountains are shown rising, butterflies in flight, a
child in-journey, and flowers in bloom. It speaks to the viewer,
“that with hope, you will too.” Upon entering the welcome center,
the strong voice of Newark’s Amiri Baraka greets us.
